FORD MANUFACTURE & ASSEMBLY AT CORK 1919-1984

Between 1919 and 1984 the Ford manufacture and assembly operations at Cork survived the War of Independence, Civil War, trade wars and the 'Emergency'. During this time they produced a remarkable record of achievement and survival in spite of great odds. Their story is that of one of the early State's great enterprises.
